Small Changes, Big Difference - Hampshire County Council
May 9th 2006.
Total Recovery Systems attended the launch of Hampshire County Council's Waste Minimisation Project titled "Small Changes, Big Difference" which was held at St Andrews Centre in Dibden Purlieu on Tuesday May 9th.
The project focuses on encouraging people to make small changes to their lifestyles, specifically to reduce the amount of household waste they produce and to collectively make a big difference to the environment.
The event, which was attended by local residents and community organisations, provided T.RECS with an excellent opportunity to showcase its range of products and services.
The project, which will run over two years targeting a range of age groups, was officially opened by Dick and Brigit Strawbridge, who gave a dynamic and inspiring presentation. The Strawbridges, who host BBC 2's "It's not easy being green" programme, showed a strong interest in RecycleMate as did many other attendees. Hampshire County Council has planned more events in the future so watch this space!
The Whole Home display - Centre of Alternative Technology
April - August 2006.
RecycleMate was the star of the show at a recent event held by green pioneers at the Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT).
CAT, based in Machynlleth, Powys, in mid Wales, allowed us to exhibit RecycleMate at its Whole Home Display which was launched in April and which will run for the foreseeable future.
The exhibition features innovative new products and technologies aimed at enabling people to reduce the impact of their "environmental footprint".
Speakers at the event included Terry Nutkins, the respected TV naturalist of Animal Magic and The Really Wild show fame. He told his audience they can make real changes environmentally by starting in their own homes.
One visitor to the exhibition said afterwards: "The displays were magnificent and we all went home happy, ready to save the world and full of parsnip and carrot crisps."
